Adding certain decorative items that liven your bedroom up can make a world of difference. We’ve got a few ideas on what you can do to take your bedroom from boring to beautiful:

A canvas

A framed canvas hung above your bed adds that personal touch to your bedroom.

The canvas can either have a quote about love or it can be a simple and inexpensive painting that compliments your bedroom’s colour palette. Or you can have a pattern printed on one or more canvas that fit above your headboard proportionally

Your duvet set

Your duvet can either make your bedroom feel warm and cosy or It can make it look dark and uninviting.

Choosing a duvet set that has pastel colours accentuated with a few bright coloured pillows livens up the room. Matching curtains bring uniformity to the bedroom. Lots of pillows give life your bed, while adding a fur throw to your bed takes it from simple to chic..

Add a Rug

A rug brings warmth to any room, add a rug below your bed to give your bedroom a cosy feel. Use a pattern that is simple or add a one colour shaggy rug.  Avoid rugs that have intricate or complicated patterns, simpler is better. If you prefer a rug that has patterns get a rug that has a pattern with a few colours, at most not more than 5 colours.

A sofa chair

If your bedroom is large enough you can add a sofa chair to the corner of your bedroom facing the corner of your bed. This is great for relaxing after a long day or just catching up on a book you’ve started reading.

New paint

A new fresh coat of paint can do wonders for the way your bedroom looks. Choose a colour that will work well with the colour of your headboard and bedroom linen. A light brown or grey usually works well with all colours.

Headboard

A simple headboard gives your bed some character, making your bedroom look stylish. it takes your wall from basic to something delightful to look at. A plain headboard is enough to do the trick.

Matching Lamps

If you have side pedestals or side tables, placing matching lamps on both sides of the bed on top of the side pedestals adds decorative elements to your bedroom.

Curtains

Choose curtains that complement the colour scheme of your bedding. hanging them on the sides of your bed gives your bedroom detail
